Spring Cleaning

Hello again dear readers,

Well I pray that your new year is going exactly how you want it so far, we here at Brittish Man Fashion Blog have made our slogan for 2008, we call it 'the year of the beast' simply meaning that we will not waste a single day of our time on bad wardrobe selections, and nonsensical combinations of EXTREME color matching. Beware beware beware of the dreaded urge to match your shirt, shoes, belt, sunglasses, hair extensions etc...you know what I mean! But anyway let me give you the dish on tish. (That was soo corny, I know)

Anywho.

It's January in Coldlanta, but thankfully its FINALLY starting to warm back up!! You know what means! 1. Final Winter Sales. Stack up, don't be foolish, buying things on sale does not mean the quality of the clothing is lowered, everything was full price at one point! Plus buying classic and indisposable pieces means that come next winter, they'll still be wearable,
Some suggestions are turtleneck sweaters, peacoats, tams, shawls, leather gloves, etc. I suggest that you buy most of these items in a neutral color, black peacoats will never go out of style, however you might regret that hotpink one a year from now! So play it safe....

Not too safe though!

2.With the Spring comes the seasons predictions from major fashion icons, Miuccia Prada debuted their line of dresses from Prada, which are a plethora of florals, such as lilys, lavender, and magnolia to name a few, while colors vary from rich purples, deep blues, satin pink and warm creams. Quite a feast for the eye!
I'm telling you now ladies, do not be afraid to keep your jeans in the drawer and take that short dress off the hanger! My closet is full of sundresses, shirt dresses, springy skirts, and cardigans. Ladylike tendencies are FINALLY re-emerging in our age group and I cannot be happier about it. Even putting a bit of a tomboy spin on a breezy dress is a great fashion statement, low rise chuck taylors, lace-up vans, and fedoras are a smart match for today's budding fashionista. As for me, ill be INSEPERABLE from my sunglasses (hello wayfarers!) lip balm, sandals, dresses, and fun totes this season! If you don't know me, I'm allergic to denim so I wear it as little as possible since tights or leggings have to be worn underneath it, making it pretty uncomfortable, therefore my closet is packed with dresses, which make Spring perfect for a girl like me. I also encourage you ladies to dabble in animal prints, certainly don't go overboard, but j.crew is the place for zebra print cardigans, dresses, tops, and bags, be sure to check it out! Well that's all for now but there is certainly more to come as we get further along in 2008. We love yall (country I know) and look forward to seeing you around the world!

Mwuahhhh.

Please Excuse Me.....

.....For being a DANG G!!

Forreal, no joke. You all have my apologies for lacking & slacking. Gotta admit, I was wrapped up in self the last quarter of '07, which explains my absense as of late. But seeing that life is brand new right now, I'm back in effect like Jesus after 3 days!!

One suggestion for your new journey this year...GET SOME CULTURE!!!
No really, I urge you...Northeast Ohio may be far from the country's cultural mecca, but I've found that if you seek, ye shall find!!
I urge you to step AWAYYYY from the mall. Step AWAYYYYY from the fakery. Find yourself. Mix and match. Be the you that you've dreamed of....

The time is now. The clock is ticking. Make moves or get left behind. And since you're one the come up.......

Tell the lame posers to kick rocks!!!!!
