We so late......

Wowwwww guys!

It's been a long tme and we are soooo SORRY for our absence! We told you, Brittish Man has made moves, but forgot to take our dear readers along for the ride:(

Our sincerest apologies.

But Back to Business.

As previously mentioned, Brittish Man has been doing a lot for the fashion field, so fashionistas and -austs, everywhere, we give you all one big grand handshake for the courageous efforts in blazing the trail for young girls and boys everywhere who dream of working in the business. We congratulate you on your ability to make skinniness look so darn good...

in ties, jeans, and skirts that is.

YES everyone, skinny ties are IN again! Talk about Retro!

and I hope they stay that way, there's nothing more charming than a man comfortable in his own skin..and his loafers for that matter, preferably Cole Haan's...but back to what i was saying, theres nothing more attractive than a man with tousled/unkempt hair, white french cuff shirt, cardigan and a vivacious skinny tie, check out J.Crew for their Holiday line of ruler wide neck wear, ranging from plain black and red to monogrammed tartan, they bring a man's wardrobe to life as well with their cashmere 5 button cardigan! All of that with a 5 o clock shadow and Tish is all yours boys!

Now for the ladies,

Girls, this season for some reason, houndstooth is the hottest print for a modern glamour girl, I thought houndstooth was ALWAYS in but clearly, people are finally catching on to this classic fabric that dates back to the days of Jacki O and Audrey alike. However, while I prefer the regular smaller pattern of the houndstooth, many designers are blowing the trend up, literally!
Giant sized houndstooth might be slightly trashy and is a bit vicious on the eye, while a smaller print tones it down, typically houndstooth is plain old black and white so with those giant checks, youre likely to look like a chess board walking down the street. However many of your boutiques and also department stores(i dont discriminate!) carry the print in everything, boots, hats, gloves, etc...I think it might be a bit much but my favorite so far has been the houndstooth cloak at Banana Republic, while the checks are a bit larger, the cloak itself is Classic. I'd pair it with a soft leather elbow length purple glove and a nice pair of slacks, skinny fit jeans, or even a pencil skirt. having something too loose on bottom is likely to make you look like a bag lady, 2 loose's dont make a tight! :) And lastly with the houndstooth, dontjust pin yourself down to the regular black and white, its comes in different colors, just dont go overboard and make sure to pair it with somethign SOLID COLORED, too many patterns? yikes!

And finally for the headwear, right now Berets are in so go ahead and live it up, they're cute and trendy but its one trend that i can go for, plus berets have been around for years with older generations, my grandmother has one so its not one thats going to die down by next season. I prefer the knitted look however, it gives me a very cozy feeling, and those are available everywhere, however Urban Outfitters has the best selection of multi colored ones if thats what youre into.

And guys(and girls as well), Fedoras are back and with the skinny tie and tousled/unkempt hair, youre likely to get any(and every!) girl that passes by...

So go ahead and take risks, while these arent as scary as wearing a Galliano coutoure outfit to work, they are ideas to build a foundation(closet) on and make them your own...so therefore get messy...just dont make a faux pas!.....heh.

lots and lots of fashiony love...

oh, and Happy Holidays from all of us at Brittish Man!

adieu...
